Hello friends & welcome to Heavy Pour Hospitality!
My name is Leslie LaRue Lamont and I am passionate about creating memorable experiences. (Additional passions include but are not limited to: eating my body weight in bread and cheese, indulging in adult beverages, memorizing inspirational hip hop lyrics and propagating house plants).
What started with a college-induced love of boxed wine at University of Wisconsin-Madison, sprung into years of studying wine and beverages, including an internship at a Tuscan winery, a wine harvest in Washington state, working the Sonoma County Wine Auction and eventually earning the title of Certified Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers in 2015. Most recently (pre-pandemic/the “before times”) I have been studying, tasting and visiting the beautiful wine-growing region of Valle de Guadalupe in Baja, Mexico. That’s right folks, MEXICAN WINE (it’s real and it’s fascinating).
My 15+ year hospitality journey has taken me from The Breakers in Palm Beach to Michelin starred and James Beard award-winning bars and restaurants throughout Chicago. I now find myself in Aspen, Colorado enjoying the great outdoors and discovering the best beverage pairings to a day on the mountain.
For me, the silver lining of the pandemic has been the reminder that while life is short and unpredictable, the connections we make and the people we love are what make life worth living.
I’ve created Heavy Pour in hopes of helping make a virtual space for meaningful connections by using my love of libations as a vehicle. I’ve learned that as long as you have great people and great drinks, memorable experiences will flow.
Come and join Heavy Pour and indulge in a big ol’ glass of good times. You deserve it.
